After practicing Falun Gong for years, Liu Yuanling finally came to understand the evil nature of Falun Gong. He said that the so-called principle of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance” is just for others instead of the evil cult insiders to follow.
Yes, another case of fraud! Liu Yuangling, an old man, had been cheated by the Falun Gong evil cult. Instead of reaching "Consummation" and "ascension" promised by Li Hongzhi, Liu had lost his savings to Falun Gong fraudsters. The old man’s remarks were both a relentless mockery of Falun Gong and an expression of his great hatred for the evil cult.
Liu Yuanling lives in Fengrong Street, Pulandian City, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. He retired from a bank in 1994. As his children had already started their own families at that time, he could enjoy his family life with his wife at home after retirement since he had no burden in life. But unfortunately, this old man who was supposed to spend his old age in peace came in contact with Falun Gong somehow.
In early 1997, Liu Yuanling felt a little uncomfortable in his stomach. After an examination in the hospital, he was diagnosed with atrophic gastritis. The doctor told him to rest well and adhere to regular treatment. Just at this time, Falun Gong emerged in the local area, with some people practicing Falun Gong in the community garden, outside the Nanshan Stadium, and before the cinema building. What finally aroused Liu’s interest was that these practitioners told him that practicing Falun Gong could cure all kinds of diseases.
The Falun Gong practice that was said to be able to “cure all diseases” came like timely rain to Liu Yuanling. Since it could cure all diseases without injection or medicine, there was no reason not to try it. Therefore, Liu Yuanling went to a practicing spot without any hesitation and learned Falun Gong exercises with other practitioners. Due to psychological factors and his mind being focused on the practice, he gradually forgot about his illness, and his stomach discomfort had disappeared little by little.
Then, a fellow practitioner reminded Liu Yuanling that he should buy a copy of Zhuan Falun. After he got the book, he was immediately fascinated by the "scriptures" of "Master" Li Zhongzhi. He not only worshipped "Master" Li from the bottom of his heart but also had a sense of honor as a practitioner. After that, Liu Yuanling persisted in practicing Gong at the practicing spot. Meanwhile, he often went out with his fellow practitioners to promote the Fa by distributing flyers.
However, Liu Yuanling felt his illness was getting worse while he was told of being "gaining Gong" and "getting into high levels". The fact that he had been so busy with practicing Gong and spreading the “Fa”—but ignored medical treatment for his illness, ultimately caused his health condition to deteriorate. Fortunately, Liu Yuanling didn't fully depend on "Master" Li to cure his illness by “eliminating karma”. Instead, he adopted the correct method of drug treatment in the end, which prevented his health from breaking down.
Compared with many Falun Gong addicts, Liu Yuanling was extremely lucky. He didn’t suffer the same fate as other victims, who saw their health worsening and even passed away for refusing medical treatment or medication.
Liu Yuanling had been addicted to the illusion of "reaching Consummation" and "ascending in broad daylight." Therefore, when Falun Gong was banned according to law, he didn’t reflect on his errors in the past. Instead, he believed that the government had unjustly blamed Falun Gong. As Falun Gong practicing sites had also been banned, Liu Yuanling had to practice it in secret at home. To voice his discontent against the government for its treatment of Falun Gong, Liu Yuanling went so far as to "spread the Fa" and "clarify the truth" at his own expense. He engraved steel plates at home to print Falun Gong propaganda materials during the day and distributed them in places tens of kilometers away at night. Also, he made small red flags with the words "Falun Dafa Is Good" and placed them on the roadsides and at farmers’ market stalls by night when there was no one around.
Being in his senior years, Liu Yuanling suffered a lot from going out frequently late at night to distribute Falun Gong propaganda materials. Sometimes he was bitten by dogs, and other times he accidentally fell into a ditch by the roadside as the road was not familiar to him. Nevertheless, he had got nothing in return for all the money and effort he spent on Falun Gong, which made his family members feel both angry and sad for him. They tried to persuade him to stop doing such stupid things, but Liu thought that he was continuously ascending to higher levels.
Liu’s second elder sister once advised him: “You are sneaking around to distribute flyers day and night at such an old age. It harms both the country and yourself; and besides, it not only wastes your money but also makes your family members worried about you. Stop it now!” The remarks of his elder sister were very sensible and reasonable, but Liu Yuanling, who was intent on "reaching Consummation and ascending in broad daylight", turned a deaf ear to them. In his eyes, nothing but the so-called "Fa-principles” fabricated by "Master" Li were reasonable! He would never allow "ordinary people" to “denigrate Dafa” in this way.
Meanwhile, the anti-evil-cult volunteers kept visiting Liu Yuanling at his home during this period, exposing the evil nature of Falun Gong with hard facts, and trying their best to pull his back to the right path. As Li Hongzhi's heresies had penetrated deep into Liu’s mind, it was quite difficult for him to realize his errors and turn back from the wrong path. It was two subsequent events that arouse Liu’s grave doubts about Falun Gong. Through repeated comparison and constant reflection, he gradually realized the hypocrisy of Falun Gong’s "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" (TCF) principle and the cruelty of pursuing "ascension in broad daylight".
On the eve of the Spring Festival in 2001, one of Liu Yuanling’s fellow practitioners, a small Falun Gong leader, borrowed 7000 yuan from Liu, saying her family was in urgent of money and that she would return him after the Spring Festival. But when Liu Yuanling asked her to repay him the borrowed money, she said she had spent all that money on buying Falun Gong books and materials and that those books and materials had handed out to others. Besides, she said that she did so for accumulating virtue for Liu Yuanling. Since it was meant to accumulate virtue for him, he thought it would "destroy the Fa" if he continued to ask for the money. Consequently, Liu Yuanling never dared to mention the money again. Not until later did he learn that there were no such things as his fellow practitioners told him, and that the Falun Gong’s “Dafa” was just a means to cheat people. Therefore, Liu Yuanling began to analyze what the so-called "TCF” principle advertised by Falun Gong really was. He found out that Falun Gong wears the overcoat of “Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance”, but it does things of cheating money and killing lives, letting its victims suffer and “forbear” sufferings alone.
In August 2001, Sun Baoda, one of Liu Yuanling's young fellow practitioners, died. Sun was a doctor in the People's Hospital of Pulandian City, a graduate from China Medical University. Like Liu Yuanling, Sun Baoda was also obsessed with the illusion of “ascending in broad daylight” depicted by "Master" Li. So, after “practicing” for a certain amount of time, Sun thought he was going to “reach Consummation". In order to see the spectacle of "ascension in broad daylight", he jumped down from top of the overpass near the Nine-Seven Square in Pulandian City and was killed immediately on the spot at the age of 28. Sun’s family members were very grieved and cried very sadly, which finally made Liu Yuanling realize that the so-called "Consummation" and "ascension" were all Falun Gong’s deceptive tricks.
Liu Yuanling has got out of Falun Gong’s shadow, but he has been left with regrets in the later years of his life. He said, "It's a pity that there is no remedy for bygones."
